Gary Sinise is an American actor, director, and musician. He was born on March 17, 1955 in Blue Island, Illinois. Sinise's mother was a housewife, and his father a film editor at UPA Studios in Chicago.He has appeared in over 75 films, television shows and plays including Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995) and CSI: NY (2004-2013). In 1985 he founded the Steppenwolf Theatre Company along with fellow actors Jeff Perry and Terry Kinney which became one of the most influential theatre companies in America.
