Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu is an actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist from India who primarily works in the Telugu film industry. He has won eight Nandi Awards, four South three CineMAA Awards, Indian International Movie Awards, five Filmfare South Awards, and one IIFA Utsavam Award for his roles in more than 25 films. He also owns G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment, a producing company.

Mahesh Babu married his co-star Namrata Shirodkar at the Marriott Hotel in Mumbai on February 10, 2005, during the casting of Athadu.

Career

In 1979 – Babu made his film debut with the Telugu film "Needa" as a child actor.

In 1999 – He made his acting debut as a lead actor in the film "Raja Kumarudu."

In 2011 – His film "Dookudu" was one of the highest-grossing films.

In 2019 – His film "Maharshi" grossed over ₹175 crores globally.
