Michael Carlyle Hall was born on 1st February 1971 and is an American actor and singer best known for his roles in the television series Dexter and Six Feet Under. The actor has also performed on Broadway and narrated audiobooks. He reprised his role as Dexter Morgan for the miniseries revival Dexter: New Blood in 2021.

• Michael C. Hall played Posthumus in William Shakespeare's Cymbeline in 1998, from 4th August to 30. In 1999, Hall debuted on Broadway in the revival of Cabaret, directed by Sam Mendes.
• In 2003, Hall played Billy Flynn in Chicago. His return to off-Broadway theater came in 2005 when he played the imaginary friend of an emotionally disturbed child in Noah Haidle's Mr. Marmalade.

The television series Dexter, in which Hall played a serial killer/vigilante who moonlights as a psychopathic blood-spatter analyst, aired on Showtime.
