Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupatiraju, well-known by his stage name Ravi Teja, is an Indian actor who works primarily in Telugu films. Teja, most known for his performances in action comedy films, has acted in over 70 films and is one of Telugu cinema's highest-paid performers. In 1999 and 2002, Teja got the Nandi Special Jury Award for his performances in the Nee Kosam (1999) and Khadgam (2002), and in 2008, he received the Nandi Award for Best Actor for Ninth.

Ravi Teja married Kalyani. They have a daughter and a son.

Career

In 1997 – Teja acted in the film "Sindhooram" in a supporting role.

In 2001 – He made his acting debut in the film "Itlu Sravani Subramanyam," which was a box office success and established him as a solo lead actor.

In 2006 – Teja worked in the film "Vikramarkudu," which grossed more than ₹25 crores and was his highest-grossing film up to that time.

In 2013 – His film "Balupu" became one of the year's biggest box office hits.

In 2015 – He starred in the Telugu film "Bengal Tiger," which grossed over ₹40 crores and was one of the year's highest-grossing Telugu films.
