Kennedy John Victor, well-known as Vikram, is an actor and playback singer from India best known for his work in Tamil cinema. He has also featured in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi films. Vikram is one of Tamil cinema's most decorated actors, having received seven Filmfare Awards South, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award, and a National Film Award. Among his other honors are the Kalaimamani Award from the Tamil Nadu government in 2004 and an honorary doctorate from the Popular University of Milan in May 2011.
In 1992, Vikram married Shailaja Balakrishnan in a mass wedding with dozens of other couples at Guruvayoor Temple.
