Dr. Seuss, a well-known Children's Author, was born in Massachusetts. Dr. Seuss was one of the greatest storytellers of the early 20th century, creating memorable children's stories with inventive characters and rhymes. His use of illustrations kept young readers interested and set him apart from other writers of his period. He discovered at a young age that he enjoyed creating rhymes in his drawings and writing. The book was rejected 27 times until "Vanguard Press" released it. When the book was published, readers throughout America enthusiastically embraced it, which encouraged him to write further works. He worked in various occupations over the years, including writing and illustrating short stories, working as a screenwriter for movies, serving as an illustrator for advertising campaigns, and working in the animation department during "World War II." 

Career:

Dr. Seuss went on to publish more than 60 books that have sold more than 600 million copies. Over 20 languages have been used to translate several of his books, which are recognized as the most well-known children's books of all time. 

Four television series, five full-length movies, and eleven television specials have all been adapted from Dr. Seuss's books.

Dr. Seuss's next works, equally popular as "The Cat in the Hat," solidified his reputation as a children's book author and illustrator.

Dr. Seuss rose to prominence in children's literature after publishing his masterpiece, "The Cat in the Hat." 

Achievements and Awards:

Dr. Seuss received an honorary doctorate in 1956, establishing the title under his pen name.

For his "effort over nearly half a century to the education and enjoyment of America's youngsters and their parents," Dr. Seuss was awarded a special "Pulitzer Prize" in 1984.
