Edgar Rice Burroughs Early life, Education, Career, Awards, Achievements, Controversy, Unknown Facts

About (Profile/Biography):

Edgar Rice Burroughs, a well knownAmerican author, was born in California. Edgar Rice Burroughs knew that his writing had a bright future after trying his hand at a dozen other vocations. After a string of failures at practically all the careers and businesses he tried, he finally produced a masterpiece that has since continued to amuse children and adults. His desire to produce fiction (which he labeled "rotten") resulted from a simple glance through pulp publications that featured rot stuff. Then he wrote in various genres, including detective fiction, westerns, historical romances, Earthly adventures, and tales of the Moon, including several Tarzan books.

Career:

In 1910 and 1912, Edgar worked for the Champlain Yardley Company and the System Service Bureau, but he was incredibly disappointed and sad and only witnessed failures.

Edgar started working as a wholesaler of lead pencil sharpeners when he was inspired to write fiction while flipping through pulp all-fiction magazines.

As a result, Edgar was assigned to the 7th US Cavalry's "B" Troop at Fort Grant in Arizona Territory.

Edgar was released from duty in 1897 shortly after receiving a heart murmur diagnosis during a standard medical examination just before he was promoted to officer grade.

In 1918, Elmo Lincoln starred in a silent adaptation of his best-selling adventure book "Tarzan of the Apes," which set a record for the highest-grossing silent film. Since Tarzan, the fictitious jungle hero, was first introduced to the public, 41 movies and 57 one-hour television programs have been made, with each being a huge success.

Achievements and Awards:

Johnny Weissmuller played the title character in MGM's 1932 release of Tarzan the Ape Man, the first Tarzan film with sound.

In 1951, a brand-new half-hour television series with weekly broadcasts on Sunday nights was launched.

Unknown facts:

Edgar built an idea that is still novel and brilliant because of his dedication to supporting his family financially.
