Cabot has won numerous book awards, including the New York Public Library's Books for Teen Age, the American Library Association's Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers, the Tennessee Volunteer State TASL Book Award, Book Sense Pick, Evergreen Young Adult Book Award, and the IRA/CBC Young Adult Choice.
