Eight books, including The Fever, You Will Know Me, and the Edgar Award-winning Queenpin, have been written by Megan Abbott. She also edited the anthology A Hell of a Woman, which features female crime writers, and is the author of The Street Was Mine, a study of noir and hard-boiled literature. She graduated from New York University with a Ph.D. in literature.

Achievements and Awards:
Abbott has received the Edgar Award for best fiction from the Mystery Writers of America.
In 2011, Time listed her as one of the "23 Authors That We Admire."
