Brian Joseph Chesky, industrial designer and  a businessman who was born on August 29, 1981. In addition to being the co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, he also serves on its board of directors. Time Magazine named Chesky one of their "100 Most Influential People of 2015". His father is Polish and his mother is Italian. Both Chesky's parents were social workers. In his childhood, Chesky was fascinated by art, drawing replicas of paintings and designing shoes and toys.

A former industrial designer and strategist at 3DID, Inc., Chesky worked as an industrial designer after graduating from college.
His first apartment in San Francisco was shared with Gebbia in 2007.
All hotel rooms were booked for the Industrial Designers Society of America's conference in San Francisco in October 2007.
The third co-founder of Airbnb was Harvard graduate and technical architect Nathan Blecharczyk in February 2008.
It was announced by Chesky in 2015 that Airbnb was an official sponsor of the Summer Olympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
