Michael Flatley, a well-known dancer, and actor was born in Illinois. When Michael Flatley went on tour with The Chieftains, he made his debut on the global stage. With the breathtaking invention of Riverdance in 1994, he forever altered the perception of Irish dance. Later, he produced Lord of the Dance, which made its Dublin debut in 1996 at the Point Theatre.
