Misty Copeland, a well-known American ballet dancer was born in Missouri. When she was 13 years old, she enrolled in Cynthia Bradley's dancing courses and received her formal invitation to ballet. When the training got tougher, she joined in with Bradley's family. Copeland has expanded her career beyond dancing to include work as a stage performer, public speaker, and celebrity spokeswoman. Misty Copelandmother is Italian and has both African American and German lineage, while her father is both. From her mom's second marriage, she is the youngest daughter.

Misty Copeland has authored two autobiographical works and provided narration for a documentary on her professional obstacles.
