Vivek Hellegers Murthy, a well-known American physician, was born in England. American physician, author, and businessman Vivek held the position of 19th Surgeons General of the US under Barack Obama from 2014 until 2017. He held the job for the first time as an Indian American. He received a biochemistry degree from Harvard University in 1996 and a doctorate from Yale Medical School in 2003. To provide access to medicine for all Americans, he formed a non-profit organization called Docs for America after completing his internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's in Boston.

Vivek Murthy Career:

Murthy served until April 2017 after being confirmed by the US Senate in December 2014.

Throughout his term, he concentrated on several significant concerns, such as climate change, opioid misuse, obesity, and mental health.

President Obama introduced Murthy as the 19th General of the United States in 2011.

Additionally, he used social media to inform the public about health issues and reach a large audience.

After stepping down, Murthy established "Fireside Ventures," a venture capital firm specializing in healthcare, wellness, and consumer health goods.
