Anita Dongre is a fashion designer from India. She is the creator of the Indian fashion house known as House of Anita Dongre. Dongre, Anita Dongre founded the jewellery line Pink City, which is a part of the House of Anita Dongre brand. In 2015, the House of Anita Dongre became the new name of AND Designs India Limited. And (western dress), Global Desi (a boho-chic line with influences from Indian folklore), and her own label ANITA DONGRE are the current tenants of the House of Anita Dongre. She just welcomed Anita Dongre Grassroot into her fashion business. She also founded Pink City, a manufacturer of jadau fine jewellery.

Career:

In 2015: House of Anita Dongre is the new name for AND Designs India Limited.

In 2019: In order to restructure the company, the Board of House of Anita Dongre Limited (HOADL) transferred the operations under its two brands, AND and Global Desi, through a slump sale agreement to a recently established wholly-owned subordinate, Ochre and Black Private Limited (OBPL).

Dongre concentrates on the design side of the firm while her brother and sister run the day-to-day operations.

Achievements and Awards:

In 2008: She was given the "Excellence in Fashion Design" GR8 Flo Women Achievers Award.

In 2013: Dongre received an award for "Excellence in Fashion Design" from the Bombay Chapter of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Business and Industry Ladies Organization.

In 2014: She was presented with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year trophy.

Unknown Facts:

She started out by joining SEWA (Self Employed Women's Association), which introduced her to the brand "Grassroot" in 2016. This brand pays homage to India's historic handicraft sector.

She increased the number of stores in her network in 2017 by adding 100 locations for five different companies, including the New York and Mauritius flagship stores.
