Richard I was the monarch of England from 1189 until his execution in 1199. In the same era, he also held the titles of Maine, Count of Poitiers, Anjou, Lord of Cyprus, and Nantes, as well as Duke of Aquitaine, Normandy, and Gascony. He was also the ruler of Brittany at multiple points.
