• In 1989: Lisa LaFlamme started a career in broadcasting at CKCO-TV in Kitchener, Ontario, where she works as a producer and copywriter.
• In 1991: LaFlamme began covering local news in the Kitchener region as an on-air reporter.
• In 1997: LaFlamme began working as a CTV National News correspondent covering significant domestic and international news issues.
• Since 1997, LaFlamme has covered every Canadian federal election.
• From 2001 to 2003: She served as Canada AM's co-host.
• In 2003, LaFlamme took over as Lloyd Robertson's primary replacement as the host of CTV National News.

• In 2011: LaFlamme succeeds Lloyd Robertson as the principal anchor and senior editor of CTV National News, making history as the country's first only female anchor of a national nightly broadcast.

• In 2022: Bell Media told LaFlamme that her contract would not be renewed.
• In September 2022: Rogers Media revealed that LaFlamme had been hired as a special journalist to cover the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
