Austin Eubanks was an American speaker and addiction recovery advocate who became well-known for helping people impacted by trauma and addiction. He was born on August 7, 1981, in Denver, Colorado, and tragically passed away on May 18, 2019, at 37.

Austin Eubanks Columbine High School Shooting

Eubanks is perhaps best known for surviving the Columbine High School shooting, which took place on April 20, 1999. Eubanks was a Columbine senior at the time of the shooting and was in the school library when the gunmen entered. He was shot twice, once in hand and once in the knee, and witnessed the murder of his best friend, Corey DePooter. The trauma of the shooting would stay with Eubanks for the rest of his life.

Following the Columbine shooting, Eubanks struggled with substance abuse and addiction.
