Jimmy Carter, a well-known President of the United States, was born in Georgia. Jimmy Carter, sometimes known as James Earl Carter Jr., was the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He came from a farming background and went to the US Naval Academy, where he earned an engineering degree.

Jimmy Carter Political Career:

He began his political career in the 1960s and was elected governor of Georgia in 1970, serving during which time he established a reputation as a moderate and reform-minded official.
