Efraym Elliott Yamin is an American singer who rose to fame in 2006 after coming in third place on the fifth season of "American Idol." Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Efraym has always had a passion for singing. He began performing at an early age, but it wasn't until he was 20 that he made his television debut as a contestant on "American Idol." After being eliminated in the top three of "American Idol," Efraym landed a record deal and released his self-titled album soon after.
