Krishna Kumar Dinesh Karthik is a professional cricketer from India who competes at the national level for the Indian Cricket Team and is presently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He currently serves as captain of the domestic cricket team from Tamil Nadu. In 2004, he made his cricket team debut for India. As of now, Karthik is the fourth Indian batter to play 300 T20 games. In addition to scoring the most runs for India during their Test tour of England, he also struck his first Test century against Bangladesh, which helped India win their first series in England in twenty-one years.

Career:

In 2002: He made a first-class debut as a wicketkeeper against Baroda.
In 2004: He made his Test debut against Australia in the fourth Test in Mumbai.
In 2009–2010: His scores against Orissa and Punjab were 152 and 117, and he added two more scores of at least 70 during his tenure as captain of Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy.
In 2019: His name was included in the India C squad for the upcoming tournament.
In 2022: In the 20-over practise matches with Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, Dinesh was named captain of the Indian cricket squad.

Dinesh Karthik has an outstanding record in domestic/first-class cricket, amassing more than 19,000 Runs across all cricket formats.

He played such a daring inning against Bangladesh in the Nidahas Trophy that every Indian still remembers it vividly.
