Jerry Rice, a well-known American former professional, was born in Mississippi. He was one of the eight kids the couple had. Young Rice and his siblings had helped their father in the sweltering summers ever since they were young. He developed strong hands while working as an assistant bricklayer as a child. The principal was impressed by his quick movement and offered him two options: either join the school's football squad or face punishment. He developed into a star football player for his squad when he was in school and a vociferous menace to rival teams.
Career:
Jerry participated in the university's football team from 1981 to 1984. The pro scouts were drawn to his aggressive playing style and good numbers as well.
