KL Rahul, also known as Kananur Lokesh Rahul, is a well-known Indian cricketer who represents Karnataka in domestic competition and serves as the team captain of the Punjab Kings in the IPL. He bats right-handed and keeps wickets. In his first test match, KL Rahul, who made his international debut in 2014, got his first test century.


In 2010: While representing Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy match against Hyderabad, Rahul made his first-class debut.

In 2013: KL Rahul participated in his debut IPL game for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

During 2013–14: KL Rahul was the second-highest scorer in the domestic season with 1,033 first-class runs.

Rahul competed in the Duleep Trophy in 2014–15, and as a consequence of his success, India selected him for the team.

In 2014: At the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Boxing Day, Rahul participated in his first international test match.

In 2016: KL Rahul was selected for the Zimbabwe tour and played in his first ODI against Zimbabwe, scoring an undefeated 100*(115).

In 2022: Rahul became the 34th Test captain of India when he took charge in India's first test match against South Africa.

In 2017, He set a record for the quickest batsman to register a century in all three international cricket formats, doing so in just 20 innings.

In the sixth Wisden India Almanack, published in 2018, KL Rahul received the Cricketer of the Year honour.
