Michael Lynn Evans is an American football player, who was born in Texas. Although he was quite involved in football, basketball, and track while attending Texas' Ball High School. Evans had a difficult upbringing. At the age of 14, Heather Kilgore, his mother, gave birth to him. His dad, Mickey, assaulted her violently. When Evans was 9 years old, Mickey was murdered by Evans' maternal uncle, who was furious at the torture his sister had undergone. He enrolled in Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, to further his high school education. In addition to his schooling, he played football and basketball here.

Evans got a four-year rookie deal in 2014 for $14.6 million with an $8.96 million signing bonus.
In the Buccaneers' season-opening game against the Carolina Panthers in 2014, Evans made his professional debut in a regular season game. Evans finished with 6 receptions for 119 yards in a 31-23 victory over the Washington Football Team, shattering the franchise record for most receiving yards in a playoff game.
Evans made his season debut against the New Orleans Saints in 2015 after sitting out the season opener due to a hamstring ailment.
