Chamique Shaunta Holdsclaw, a top-known sports women, was born on August 9, 1977. Previously, Chamique Shaunta Holdsclaw was a member of the San Antonio Silver Stars in the WNBA. On June 11, 2007, she announced her retirement from the Los Angeles Sparks, though she returned to the league for the 2009 season with the Atlanta Dream. 
Chamique Holdsclaw Career:
A score of eight points scored by her in the 1995 WBCA All-America Game for High School.
WNBA draft: Washington Mystics selected Holdsclaw first overall in 1999.
In June 2007, just a few weeks into the 2007 WNBA season, she announced she was retiring without giving any explanation.
As a result of her request for a trade, she was released from the Dream on May 19, 2010.
As a member of the National team in July and August 1998, Holdsclaw competed in the FIBA World Championship in Berlin, Germany.
In 2000, Holdsclaw joined the Australian National Team for the Sydney Olympics.
