A.J. Styles is a well-known American professional wrestler born in North Carolina. Styles confesses that he initially despised his dad for many years owing to his aggressive behavior and that his childhood was "worse than hell." While still in school, Styles enrolled in a wrestling program only for amusement because his classmates were trying it out. At first, he didn't even like it, but over time, he warmed up to wrestling and began to take it seriously. Styles obtained a scholarship because of his talent in wrestling and used it to enroll in a university in South Carolina after graduating from Johnson School in Georgia. Styles worked odd jobs early in his career to make ends meet while trying to support himself as a wrestler, such as driving and delivering water to homes.
Career:
Styles received his first significant break at the 1998 Championship Game wrestling tournament in Georgia, where he trained under the legendary Rick Michaels but dropped his opening match.
Styles continued to participate in several independent wrestling competitions inside and outside the USA.
Styles competed in World Championship, Frontier Wrestling Alliance, and East Coast Wrestling Association. He also made two brief appearances in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Styles worked odd jobs early in his career to make ends meet while trying to support himself as a wrestler, such as driving and delivering water to homes.
Achievements and Awards:
After defeating several wrestlers in a one-night event, including CM Punk, Styles was crowned the ROH Absolute Wrestling Champion.
