Aatish Ali Taseer, a well-known British-American writer, was born in London, England in 1980. His parents were Pakistani businessman Salman Taseer and Indian journalist Tavleen Singh. His parents were in an extramarital relationship for a short while and were never married. He was raised by his mother. In 2001, Taseer completed degree in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts.
