John Norman, born John Frederick Lange Jr., is an American author and philosopher. The Chronicles of Gor, a science-fiction series, is Norman's most well-known work. Prior to his retirement, he was a lecturer at Queens College of the City University of New York. In 1963: Lange received his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
