Black Cake is a new TV show premiering on November 1, 2023. It brings you into the life of Eleanor Bennet, an immigrant from Jamaica who now lives in California. The show splits into historical fiction and family drama, it’ll follow her through it all. But the first episode starts with her death, which everyone will experience at one point. If you weren’t already sad enough her death leaves her children Benny and Byron behind, luckily she left them a flash drive with her life story. Chipo Chung, Marc Rissman and Mia Isaac did an amazing job at giving their characters emotion while they try to learn about themselves and dealing with family issues.
