Stacy Ann "Fergie" Ferguson is an American singer and rapper, born on March 27, 1975. She first gained fame as a member of the Black Eyed Peas, before releasing her debut solo album, The Dutchess, in 2006. Fergie has also appeared in several films and launched a successful fragrance and footwear line. She was a cheerleader, straight-A student, spelling bee champion, and Girl Scout in her youth. Fergie studied dance and did voiceover work before joining the girl group Wild Orchid. She left the group in 2001 due to frustrations with their image and personal drug problems.
