George Washington is a well-known American military officer born in Virginia. One of the "Founding Fathers" of the US was George Washington, who served as its first president. After losing his father, George was raised by his older half-brother. He became one of the greatest presidents in American history by laying the groundwork for the significant power of the world. He established precedent and governed the newly developed nation for eight years with firmness and caution, contributing to stability.

Career:
George Washington finished his official education at the age of 15.
In 1748: George Washington, then 16 years old, joined a surveying crew set up by his friend George Fairfax.
In 1749: He received a surveyor's license and was appointed in Culpeper County.
By 1752, he had finished about 200 surveys, covering more than 60,000 acres of ground and earning enough cash to purchase some land.
When he arrived at his destination, Washington discovered that the French had pushed the colonial traders away and were building a fort.
In 1754, his forces attacked a French post and killed 10 French soldiers.
In 1755: Washington was appointed "Colonel of the Virginia Regiment.”
In 1758: George returned to Mount Vernon to start a plantation and enter politics.
He added five farms and extended his landholding over time from 2000 acres to 8000 acres.
His 1759 marriage to Martha Dandridge Custis also contributed to him acquiring more land.
In 1775: He was chosen to serve as New York's military adviser. 
In 1789: Washington won every vote in the inaugural presidential election. 

Achievements and Awards:
He founded the Supreme Court in 1789.
Additionally, he founded the first national bank.

Unknown facts:
The only president who wasn't affiliated with a political party was him.
He disliked the idea of political parties so intensely that he forewarned Americans about it.
